Since I was a child, I've been fascinated by health and nutrition and its effects on the body. Even as a young kid I loved creating food with mom & grandma. Making delicious, healthy meals for me and my family was the greatest pleasure. It quickly became clear that food would be a big part of my life’s journey. When the time was right, I joined Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago where I officially became a chef. Throughout my career I had the opportunity to learn from different chefs with different backgrounds & experiences from all over the world. Life was good. I was living my life from a place of passion & fulfillment. It wasn’t until many years later that an unfortunate incident at work led to double back surgery. Soon, I would have to come to peace with the fact that long, standing hours in the kitchen were over.

What I didn’t know at that time was that the Spirit was calling. I was called on a journey of self-discovery, solitude, growth, learning and unlearning. As always, everything happens for us and not to us. A situation that seemed to be a total disaster and a total dream crusher turned out to be the biggest blessing of all. After surrendering to what is I was able to observe what the Spirit was trying to show me. What came of it was gratitude, presence & a total redirection.

In January 2021 my wife and son convinced me that it was time to get a dog. As you can imagine, my son was thrilled. He has been waiting for this moment for a very long time. We embarked on a short trip to Ohio to pick up Leonidas-a Belgian Malinois pup that has changed our lives forever. After bringing him home we quickly realized that we had no idea what to feed him. We are very health conscious, so it became essential to make the most healthful choices. We looked and visited a dozen or more local & fancy pet stores that claimed to carry the finest, healthiest, organic alternatives. Unfortunately, we were destined for disappointment. We learned that even the expensive, well-known, healthy-looking brands were not so healthy after all. There were hundreds of recalls, low integrity, poor quality, nutritional deficiencies, and hundreds of other problems. We have also learned that there is no regulation that oversees what is allowed or required in pet food. There is no governing body to make sure everything is safe! Yes, it’s all based on Big Corp's own willingness to inform! Clearly driven by profits and greed. We then came across the book “The Forever Dog” by Dr. Karen Decker. There is tons of research and data proving the corruption of the industry and ways to improve the health and longevity of our pets. This is when the new journey begins.

We decided to prepare our own food that is rooted in health, nutrition & ancestral behavior. It felt so rewarding to be able to prepare highly nutritious, calorie-dense organic meals knowing that my dog was getting the best of the best. This is when it all came full circle. I knew that if we had this type of struggle about feeding our dog, there must be others who struggle as well. This is when the idea to create Rawgevity® was born. It was born out of the need to ensure that our dog is healthy & happy & gets precisely what he needs daily to thrive. Our nutritional formulas are based on studies, tested by teams of mindful veterinarians, doctors & scientists, all researched carefully based on the knowledge of “The Forever Dog” team. What became clear is that my Chefs skills, passion for health & nutrition rooted in the highest transparency & integrity is what dog owners out there are looking for. This will ensure the longevity & happiness of their furry friends.
